Hatfield Borough Revitalization Plan and Market Study Goals

The implementation of the Revitalization Plan should lead to the accomplishment of the following goals:

• Attract new commercial enterprises to the Central Business District (CBD)
• Assist Borough businesses accomplish any intended expansion plans
• Make streetscape improvements to increase regional awareness and improve the attractiveness of the CBD
• Implement traffic control measures to reduce vehicular impacts to the community
• Target vacant properties for reuse by commercial enterprises
• Pursue heritage tourism opportunities by capitalizing on the Borough's history associated with the railroad and Cowpath Road
• Promote increased home ownership opportunities through the de-conversion of multi-family units to single-family units and the reuse of vacant properties

The stated goals reflect input from residents and other stakeholders, regional economic realities, and the physical and social attributes of the Borough.
