Here we go again! As of midnight tonight, a snow emergency has been declared for Hatfield Township and Hatfield Borough. The weather service says this is the real deal so it’s best to be prepared. Clear any extra vehicles out of the streets, this will be huge help to our Public Works staff. They will spend some long hours to get everything cleared for you. Your Police Officers will be on duty throughout the storm, utilize 911 for all calls. Remember, a snow emergency is not the time to get out the four-wheeler and snowmobile. These vehicles can only be used on a public street when they are operating to assist in the emergency, it’s not play time. More importantly, when they are in use all traffic laws apply, it’s not time to go crazy and run from the police. We see far too many incidents where people get hurt from playing cat and mouse on the roadways. So, be smart and be safe. Ride out whatever we have coming our way, then let patience kick in.
