Housing
The Borough of Hatfield has created a program of fire safety and emergency equipment inspections for all multi-family residential facilities, industrial facilities, commercial facilities, retail businesses, banks and all other retail and wholesale facilities, educational and daycare facilities and places of worship in the Borough. The program is a cooperative endeavor between the Borough and the community under the jurisdiction of the Fire Marshal and the Code Enforcement Officer for Hatfield Borough.

Junk Vehicles
It shall be unlawful for any person, owner or lessee to maintain a motor vehicle nuisance upon the open private grounds of such person, owner or lessee within Hatfield Borough. A motor vehicle nuisance shall include any motor vehicle which does not have a current registration or inspection sticker or which is unable to move under it own power or one which has any physical defects or may be a danger to citizens.

Snow Emergency
In order to facilitate the movement of traffic and to combat the hazards of snow and ice on the streets of Hatfield Borough, the Hatfield Township Police Department, at the discretion of the Director of Public Safety or the Chief of Police or his/her designee, may declare a snow and/or ice emergency. Information on the existence of a snow and/or ice emergency shall be given by the Director of Public Safety or the Chief of Police or his/her designee through the radio, newspaper or other available media.

Weeds
It is a violation for vegetation to exceed a height of six inches, or throw off any unpleasant or noxious odors or to conceal any filthy deposit or to create or produce pollen.

Trees
Ordinance #224 states that it shall be the duty of the owners of real estate in the Borough to trim and maintain trees located on their property and along or near any street in the Borough.

Zoning
The zoning ordinance of Hatfield Borough is enacted for the purpose of promoting the health, safety, and the general welfare of the Borough. The zoning regulations are in accordance with a comprehensive plan, and is designed to lessen congestion on the roads and highways, to secure safety from fire, panic, and other danger, to provide adequate light and air, to facilitate the adequate provision of transportation, water, sewerage, schools, parks, and other public requirements, to conserve the values of buildings, and to encourage the most appropriate use of land through out the Borough.

Land Development
The purpose of the Land Development Ordinance is to insure that development with in the Borough will be orderly, efficient, integrated, and harmonious.
