Earned Income Tax
The Earned Income Tax/Gross Receipts Tax, which was instituted in the Borough
effective April 1, 1992, is a one half of one percent (.5%) tax on all earned income and gross business receipts. (.5% NPSD).
Local Services Tax
The Local Services Tax, which was instituted in the Borough effective January 1, 2017, is $52.00 a calendar year for those who hold a job or profession within the Borough of Hatfield. (This does not include those whose total earned income and net profits are less than $12,000 per year)

NPSD Offers New Tax Rebate Program
To qualify for this discount, applicants must:
- own a home as their primary residence in the North Penn School District and have a household income of no more than $35,000 annually; and
- be 65 years of age or older; or
- be a widow and widower aged 50 years of age or older; or
- be permanently disabled and 18 years of age or older.
The property tax rebate program is based on the existing Pennsylvania Property Tax and Rent Rebate program. North Penn homeowners must qualify for the state rebate program to qualify for the district rebate program. For more information, go to: http://www.npenn.org/Page/2 4592
Realty Transfer Tax
The Realty Transfer Tax is a one percent (1%) tax on real estate transfers within the Borough.
